Alpha Starts on Monday
You may have seen a flyer when you arrived as a fresher, or have been invited by a friend, or already be part of Open Heaven. Either way our Alpha course begins on Monday at 6:30pm at Elim Church .
Alpha is a safe place to thrash out the meaning of life; to discuss what Christianity really is all about. It’s about finding out about God but also about you. Your ideas, your opinions and to discover where you stand.
We hope that you will feel relaxed enough to be able to discuss those issues that play on all of our minds from time to time, however controversial! At Loughborough Uni the Alpha course is run in such a way as to be relevant to students, and so is run by students with the support of local Church (Open Heaven).
The launch was a bit of a one off, but from next Monday we will be meeting at 6:30pm at Elim Chuch, where we'll enjoy a meal together (free of charge! woohoo!), listen to a short talk and finish with plenty of time for questions and discussion. We will aim to be finished by 9 - so plenty of time to go out afterwards!
For those of you who are already part of Open Heaven, Alpha is a great way to help your friends find out about God's love for them personally which you've discovered for yourself. If you can think of people who would genuinely like to know about that, then why not see if they fancy it?
You can find a list of discussion topics, and more information about Alpha in our Student Alpha pages, or get in touch with Sarah.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
