When you hear several people recommend this film all in the same month you know it's about time you checked it out. To End All Wars was released in the US in 2001, but didn't reach the UK until last year, and has gradually grown a strong following despite a cautious release.
Based on the true story of Ernest Gordon about four Allied POW's who endure harsh treatment from their Japanese captors during World War II while being forced to build a railroad through the Burmese jungle. Starring Robert Carlyle and Kiefer "24" Sutherland.
