Using various film portrayals of Jesus to challenge and enrich our understanding of Jesus and his life, as well as exploring what these cinematic versions tell us about how our society view him.
Session Three
Enhancing our Jesus in Film.
How do the various film portrayals enhance our understanding of who he was and what he did, and what light do they cast on the gospels themselves. The session will end with a brief look at how studying Jesus films can improve our literary appreciation of the gospels.
