Challenging our Jesus with Film.

So much of our image of Jesus is based on our own pre-conceptions, rather than the bible itself. How can these films expose and undermine these pre-conceptions and help us to come closer to the real Jesus? And what does examining the pre-conceptions of the filmmakers tell us about the societies in which they were made?
