[29-05-12] Life in Annecy - Ali & Vicky
Many of you know that after living with Pete & Miri for 3 months, God provided an apartment for us to move into via an old man called Claude! He had checked his Facebook account for the first time in about 6 months to find a message from that "nice young Englishman" at the exact same moment that he put down the phone from his brother-in-law, who had asked if Claude could help him to fill their mother-in-law's two-bedroom apartment in Annecy.

The Next Step with St. Peters...

For those of you who haven’t heard, the latest news on St. Peter's is this - Paul Stevens (leader of Elim) received a letter from the agents acting for Leicester Diocese, saying that the Open Heaven/Elim joint proposal is the ‘preferred’ option. Paul told the Elim congregation the great news at the same time we told Open Heaven, on the morning of Dec 16th. A decision on planning permission would be needed for the sale to go through and this is expected sometime in April.

We want to make a full presentation of the thinking behind this new venture and the future process involved at the Vision Night and AGM, Wed 16th Jan, 8.00pm at the New Springs venue in town. We want to answer some of the common questions that we already know the answers to at this stage...

Rich is now heading up the Building Share project, so if there are burning questions you have, please email him with them so he can include them in the presentation on the 16th Jan. There will be the chance to discuss and write down initial thoughts, comments and questions that evening with future dates planned for forums and workshops.

We anticipate and hope that we will all go away with more questions as this is very much the beginning of a process where people can bring their ideas, proposals and contributions. One of our aims for that evening is to form a new fundraising team, so if that resonates with you and your gifting, please make that known on the 16th.

Let’s keep seeking God about this opportunity before us and ensure he stays central to it all. Our prayer is that gaining this resource will enable us to extend his Kingdom even more.
