Tithe Your Holiday

Tithing is something Christians are generally familiar with but we usually apply it to our finances.  I would like to propose a new type of tithing, ‘our holidays’.

Holidays can be precious and they are times we look forward as an opportunity to ‘get away’ to relax, explore new countries and cultures as well as enjoy what the resorts have to offer.  How about this year we each tithe a part of our holiday and we use this time to pray and/or invest practically into the place we have chosen to go and relax...

Why not give half a day per week of your holiday to be investing back?

Before you go find out about your destination, whether that is elsewhere in the UK or overseas.

  • What are the prayer needs of the area?
  • If it is a developing country, are there any projects you could visit for a couple of hours and/or take out supplies to (a really good place to look is 'Stuff your Rucksack')

Then give half a day or more to be prayer walking and seeking God for his heart for the area and the people who live there.
If you would like more information or if you would like help on gaining information about where you are going I would love to help, get in touch
