Just Trade Thailand

Tomorrow I'm flying off to Thailand, Cambodia and Hong Kong as part of my role with Just Trade to visit small businesses that providing employment for very vulnerable communities. We set up Just Trade to work alongside small businesses like these in the developing world, giving business advice, design input and providing a route to market in the UK for the goods they produce.

At Just Trade we are passionate about trade justice and we want people everywhere (but particularly in the developing world!) to be paid fair wages and have the dignity of well-respected and safe work that can support their families. We're in this because we believe every person is valued by God and we realise that our lifestyle and buying choices can make a big difference in the lives of others!

I'd really appreciate your prayers in the next two weeks as I visit our partner projects in Cambodia, and Hong Kong- for wisdom, good product ideas and great relationships to be formed while I'm out there visiting the work. I'll also be visiting Paul McKnight who is working with Step Ahead in Thailand, to see if there are business and partnership opportunities where we can help out.

Just Trade is growing thanks to your support! Please keep spreading the fair trade message and getting involved! This year a few more Open Heaveners will be joining the Just Trade team, including Louise Davis, Ruth Carr and Lizzie Kember.
