Congratulations to Brian Wakley

Back in 1990 when Ness was in Towers Hall, there was a move of God in the hall that led to the number of Christians trebling during the first term. One of those guys that discovered the power and love of God was Brian Wakley who, for those of you that don't know him, is still part of Open Heaven along with his wife, Lynda, and their four children.

God fanned the passion in Brian for the poor and he started a journey of finding how God could use him to make a difference in the poorest people's lives. Brian has persevered and faithfully pursued this call on his life which has recently led him to being given the post of CEO at CORD. For those not in the know, CORD is a relief and development organisation that works in countries experiencing, and recovering from, violent conflict, and helps to build peace through practical action. Brian is a humble man whose heart is to love and serve the poor and see more of God's Kingdom on Earth.

This short article is to honour Brian's hard work and perseverance, and a testimony to the rest of us that God is faithful and loves those that dare to step out and pursue him and his passions.

We wish Brian God's continued blessing and guidance.

The video below is a short presentation by Brian on CORD's work.
