Open Heaven had its 15-year birthday party on a week last Saturday, and boy did we celebrate - birthday cake and all! The planning team had been meeting since January, over copious amounts of tea.
The Supernatural Power Of A Transformed Mind
The first of our 3 goals for 08-09 is this: To push deeper into God's presence, to experience him more and to grow in boldness as we go about our lives. The leadership team feel that Bill Johnson's book "The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind" will provoke, challenge and help us do this. The book is made up of 40 devotional studies each of which needs a day or two to complete. The idea is that we go through it together, starting this Sunday (23rd Nov.) and completing it at our church weekend away in February.
If you are part of the church, we would really encourage you to get a copy of the book and work through it over the coming months. Our Sunday gatherings and cells next term will be focusing on the theme of God's presence and we’ll be referring to some of the ideas from the book.
