Stories from Encounter
The Encounter Weekend continues to be one of my highlights in the year. Over the bank holiday weekend a group of 50 of us went away to encounter God. It was an amazing weekend where we experienced the reality and presence of a God who loves us and longs to be with us. A God whose heart burns to see us free from the wounds and hurts the world can bring.
It was a beautiful picture of the church, being honest with our brokenness, sharing our lives together, letting God draw near to heal and free us and finding fresh purpose and passion to follow Jesus courageously.
I want to invite those who were on the Encounter Weekend to share something of what happened for them, what God did in them, and what he spoke to them about. It doesn’t need to be long. I want this to be a page of stories that thank God for all he did on the weekend and that can encourage the church. To add your story, use the comments box below.

God met me at the right time, in the right moment, in the right way with the right people around me.
How great is it to be part of a community that is for you, that cares for you, and that loves you where you are at, in your moments.
As a result I am more aware of God's presence, grace and his everlasting love as my father, brother and friend....left on Thursday May 7th, 2009

God blessed me with such an increase in many gifts, and a few new ones!
I saw angels moving, heaven open, noises from heaven, encouraging pictures of what is to come and now ruby pieces as well as diamond dust.
It was simply 'church' - an honest, open community yearning for God!...left on Friday May 8th, 2009
