Healings at OH1
This Sunday at OH1 we were looking at Healing Grace. There were 3 great stories that got
shared in the gathering. Have a read of them;
"I occasionally get a discomforting twinge in my lower back from moving awkwardly or from bending badly. It is not overly painful, more annoying than anything. Usually it eventually goes away after some laying down and reset, but it's annoying while it lasts.
Today this happened to me during setup for OH1 and so in worship I was getting tired with it and it was mildly discomforting. After the healing talk, Ian Scarrot said if anyone has a little twinge in their back come over for prayer, I thought "It seems so minor, is it worth the bother?" but because he said "twinge" I thought, that is exactly my case, I may as well go.So Ian prayed and funnily enough the "twinge" went, so my back feels better. Its still tired and I feel like sitting down but the annoying bit is gone.
I guess it's just cool how even though it seems like it's something kind of irrelevant and not worth the bother God cares about it and He healed it."
Thank you God!

"I've had back problems on and off for a few years. I saw a specialist in the summer - she said that I was in a bad way and that if things didn't improve I would have real problems in the future.
On Thursday I asked the Alpha prayer team to pray for me - I was in pain and wanted to play football on Saturday! I felt loads better the next day and I played 120 minutes on Saturday with no pain!
I was feeling a bit sore in the evening and on Sunday morning. Jimmy knew that I had a bad back and asked about it, even though I didn't want prayer. I felt a twinge during the prayer and then no pain! I can even touch the floor from standing!"

"June 2006 I had an accident on the Room1 dance-floor. Unfortunately it stopped me playing basketball at competitive level, but changing my time commitment ended up being positive.
Stopped off at Open Heaven today as we're heading back on the M1 from a training weekend in Sheffield. Naomi read out a word of knowledge that somebody had before the gathering referring to the right knee, specifically that it had popped out and back in again - exactly the definition of what happened to me.
She proceeded to offer prayer for healing and walked over to the exact spot where I fell three years previous. I went over to her and for the first time when people have been praying for my knee (and there have been many) I actually believed God might do it.
The first time that she prayer about 50% of the pain seemed to disappear - then the guys prayed again and I could feel the difference, but still with some discomfort rooted in my knee joint.
I then started to pray for James who had also responded and I crouched with pressure on my knee that I couldn't have previously coped with for more than a few seconds. I stayed in this position praying for about ten minutes and when I got up there was no stiffness."

Let's give the glory to God for healing Dave, Joe and Toby! Our God is a healing God and we want to see supernatural healings become a regular feature of us gathering together in his name.
O LORD my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. Psalm 30 v 2
He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. Psalm 103 v 3-4
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matt 9 v 35
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Matt 8 v 10
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. Luke 9 v 1-2
