Time to Think Big!
"Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large.
Spread out! Think big!
Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You're going to need lots of elbow room for your growing family. You're going to take over whole nations; you're going to resettle abandoned cities.
Don't be afraid—you're not going to be embarrassed.
Don't hold back—you're not going to come up short."
Isaiah 54v2-6, The Message
This is just one of the passages of scripture through which God has spoken to us about the exciting opportunity that we find ourselves in. Through partnership with Elim Church Loughborough, we are embarking on an exciting journey of redesigning the St Peter’s building on Storer Road to be a new home for both congregations and a base to serve the town of Loughborough.
Take a moment to remind yourself of the journey so far:
This week we’re meeting with our design team to review the final plans before they get sent off to a number of selected building contractors to begin the tender process. From here on in we are throwing our trust completely onto God, as the prices that come back in two months’ time will have a huge bearing on how the project proceeds.
Please join us in praying for:
- Very competitive tender prices
- A contractor who believes in the project
- Clarity over which contractor to proceed with
- Continually strengthening relationships across Open Heaven and Elim as we work out what this kingdom partnership looks like
You can also keep up-to-date with the project in a number of ways:
- Our new blog: http://openheaven.org/thinkbig
- Our monthly emails starting next week
- Our Facebook Page:http://www.facebook.com/pages/Think-Big-Project-Loughborough/104587216249763
- Our Tweets: http://twitter.com/openheaven
We’ll also be having a further update on the project and the vision at our joint gathering.
