Helen - Support Requests

In order to continue my work I need to raise the necessary funds and this is one area in which I would appreciate support. However another way is through prayer, and there are a number of areas that I would value prayer for, as well as those to be thankful for.

If you would like to commit to supporting Helen regularly, please contact LJ.

Please thank God for:

  • The brilliant work that John, Kim and Jo have done in setting up and running the centre.
  • All of the volunteers who have helped with the renovation and teaching.
  • All of the students who have been very welcoming and keen!
  • The fantastic support of the local church that I have been getting involved with, who have regularly prayed for our work in their Sunday gatherings and who have been getting involved in recruiting students for our courses and advertising our café.
  • The work that He has been doing in many people’s lives in this area, and particularly for the work that He has done in the lives of the people who work here and students who attend.

Please pray for:

  • The teaching: please pray for the students who attend, that God would work in their lives to bring healing and hope. Please also pray for guidance in deciding the best way to structure and re-advertise the courses for the New Year in order that as many people as possible can get involved in learning here and benefit from this.
  • The Café: please pray that this would be a place of community through which we can have the opportunity to build closer relationships with the people who live in this area. Please also pray that God would work through these relationships to reveal more of Himself and that He would give us wisdom in the practicalities of running it and provide the necessary people to assist in this.
  • Volunteer teachers: please pray that God would call people with a heart for this area to come and help facilitate the teaching programme here. As well as more English teachers, we also currently require Thai Computer and Thai Hospitality teachers and a German teacher.
  • My Thai! Please pray that God would continue to help me pick up some more of the language and through this enable me to develop my friendship with the Thai staff who work here, some of who’s English is not that strong, and other people from the community.
  • The local church that I am involved in, called Pak Ping, and especially for the new Christians involved with this of whom there are many!
