Bible Teaching

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Understanding and applying the central themes of the bible to our lives is a priority at Open Heaven and it forms the foundation for making C21 disciples. It is the basis for our gatherings, our cells and our training and discipleship courses. Below outlines 4 key areas where the bible is either preached, taught, studied or applied.

1) Corporate Sunday Gatherings
The bible is preached to challenge, provoke and remind us how to live.

2) Cell life
The bible is taught and discussed so we can understand how we should live and then encourage one another.

3) Discipleship, in Mentoring Forums and 1to1
The bible is specifically applied to our individual situations, so we can live more like Christ with his values with the help of faithful friends.

4) Year long courses including Immerse (OH Bible overview course), DNA and ETL:Favour (formerly Equipped to Lead). The bible is studied so we can develop greater knowledge of God and His plans and purpose for us!

We are blessed in having a number of Bible teachers who are regular speakers at events like Spring Harvest and Soul Survivor and who teach on training courses like Equipped to Lead and DNA.
