Cell Review Form

Cell Review form

If cells are going to be as effective and fruitful as they can be, it is important to reflect and evaluate where the cell is at and what needs to be changed and worked on. This review form is intended to be a tool that helps cell leaders and associates look at all the different aspects of cell, to affirm things done well as well as to critically analyse and make plans to continually develop and improve cell.

¨       What has gone well in the last 3 months? How have you been encouraged?

¨       What are the biggest challenges you face as a cell?

¨       Do you feel the cell has a clear understanding of what cell is about and the direction it is going?

Stages in the life of a cell

Below are 5 stages to the cell cycle, it is helpful to identify which stage your cell is in so you can move it on in the cell cycle.

Stage

Goal

Focus

Potential problems

Acquaintance

Getting acquainted

Group - members focus on the reasons for the group

Insufficient time given to get to know each other & help everyone feel comfortable

Conflict

Honesty & worship

Self - members focus on what the group can do for them

Focus doesn't go on Christ in worship, reluctance to divulge information

Community

Edification

Christ - members lay personal needs down & focus on Jesus

Members struggle to look beyond their own needs

Outreach

Outreach & ministry

The Lost - Christ turns attention of group outward into ministry

Could stagnate once community formed if leader doesn't set goals to focus group outwards

Multiplication

Smooth division

Growth - group experiences cell growth & multiplication

Reluctance to keep changing & moving on & to leave developed friendships

1.      What evidence is there in your cell of the stage you are in?

2.      What do you need to do to avoid the potential problems of this stage and to ensure your cell continues moving on the cell cycle?
