OH Interns

We are a church that believes in risk taking and releasing people into positions of responsibility.  It is one of our values.  In fact it’s how this all started.  7 graduates who took a risk and believed that God could use them to build his Kingdom.

One way we outwork this is through our intern programme.  It is designed to develop people in their leadership skills and understanding.  We look for people who are gifted in leadership, are already carrying responsibility in the church and who have embraced the process of discipleship.  We then invite them to come for an informal interview.

In Sept 07 we launched our first intern year.  We now have 5 interns who work voluntarily for OH 2 days a week.  They have a variety of responsibilities from designing all of our publicity to running student alpha, overseeing cells and heading up our children’s work.  As part of their 2 days they have a programme of teaching and training on theology and leadership and a team meeting every week.  Each term they also do their own study on a topic of their choice.
