OH2

Who is it for?

OH2 is for children, parents and local residents.

What’s it like?

This expression of Open Heaven meets in a home. We have started in a home for a reason - home is where family life is outworked. Our gatherings are short (1 hour), and packed full of interaction, creativity and fun.

It's relaxed, informal and at times noisy!

We believe children are today's church, not tomorrow's church. We want children to be fully participating members of Open Heaven and create environments where they can outwork their God-given gifts. The adults want to learn from the children as well as helping them discover more about the God who loves them.

We spend a lot of time sharing food and having fun - all of which is an important part of being church.

OH2 is a place that children and adults love being part of together.

What’s the big picture?

Being a disciple (someone who learns from Jesus). It is more than a lifestyle choice – it’s a way of life. It involves the whole of our lives and continues through the ups and downs of life. OH2 helps join up some of the dots to make more sense of this life, our relationships, commitments and demands.

Together, we face life’s pain and share life’s beauty. Our aim is for children to grow and flourish and for adults to be equipped and strengthened. OH2 is water for the soul that brings God into the rhythm of our lives.

We want to continue challenging the adults to be 21st Century disciples in the workplace and as parents and are refusing to 'settle' as we get older. Our desire to follow Christ through the ups and downs of lives filled with demands, means we are intentional about cultivating a spirituality that works and a rhythm of life that sustains us. Our desire is to stay sharp and pursue God hard in this life stage.

Much of life’s personal challenges, opportunities and pressures are shared and outworked together midweek, in smaller groups called cells.
