The following are some of the things that people in Open Heaven have initiated, pioneered in, or play a key role in. Many of these have been done with partnership with other congregations or people outside the Church of Loughborough.

Student Alpha is a safe place to explore the meaning of life. The national alpha course specifically aimed at Loughborough Students.

The Encounter Weekend is 48 hours away with the sole purpose of encountering God. The next one is 25th to 27th May.

OH Interns. A year long intern training programme focusing on leadership and theology.
Project 5000 is an Emmanuel initiative supported by people from various congregations, which provides a safe place for people to be loved and listened to once a week. On Monday nights at Emmanuel Old Church Hall (between 7:00pm - 9:30pm) we serve hot drinks, a hot meal, and give out food parcels to be taken away.
