The final morning of our weekend away was spent with a question and Answer session with Elaine and Alan Storkey. Below are the questions that were asked. You can download their answers to hear how they replied.
- Have you got any top tips on parenting children so they get to know God for themselves?
- Do you know the cricket score?
- Given that the “war on terror” is framing so much of global politics, how do you think the church can address the division and fracturing of north and south?
- When you have been walking this journey for so long, what motivates you to keep going?
- Labour came into power in 1997, promising an ethical international relations policy, is it feasible? What are the short and long term costs & benefits for rich nations?
- How do you stay culturally engaged and not become a consumer of media?

Is post modernity an opportunity or a threat?
- Alan: What came first – the deep theological thought or the beard?

- Evangelism often focuses on Jesus as a personal saviour – is a more biblical world view the “what is your part to play in God’s plan for humanity”?
- Currently citizenship is one of the latest educational focuses. What opportunity / challenges does it create for those wanting to engage with youth?
- Will there ever be a boy born that can swim faster than a shark?
- In a church where 2/3rds are single how can we model a high view of singleness / that its not a ‘second best’ option?
Also – is flirting amongst Christian community wrong?
- In our culture, the pressure to do for God often squeezes our time to be with God.
