Loughborough: Town-wide Projects
Below is a list of projects that other churches in the town have set up to serve, love and respond to those in need. We are committed to support and resource these projects.
Enquire – An advice and counselling centre including financial support.
TwentyTwenty – Seeking a brighter future for disengaged youth.
The Cookery – Serving hot lunches for senior citizens and the homeless.
The Charis centre– A pregnancy and abortion counselling service.
P5000 – Providing a hot meal, food parcel and friendship on Monday evenings in Emmanuel Old Church Hall to those who are homeless and others who feel the need to come.
Soup Run – Providing a hot meal for the homeless in the area.
Street pastors – providing safety and help for those at the end of a late night.
Kidz Klub – A Fun and energetic Saturday morning club for young children in Loughborough.
Prison work – Bringing hope and friendship to those in a local young offenders institute.
SOAR – Taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to the schools of North Leicestershire.
Child Contact Centre- Providing a neutral meeting place for children and their non-resident parents. Meets on Saturday afternoons and is staffed entirely by volunteers.
Multicultural Open House - A welcoming place for visitors to Loughborough from overseas to be encouraged in friendship and faith. It meets on Sundays from 2-4 at Emmanuel Church.
