Our Vision for Mission

‘Open Heaven’- bringing heaven to earth.
“Let your Kingdom come, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”

The name ‘Open Heaven’ reflects our heart that we want some of the reality and goodness of Heaven to be experienced on earth. This is simply part of extending the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt 11:12) and seeing Kingdom values influence and transform student culture and then the society and world around us. It is our desire to see an open heaven extending beyond Loughborough campus and town, into the nations and to the ends of the earth. We believe we need to be actively working with God to be extending His kingdom through prayer, mission and social action.

It is the vision of Open Heaven that all members are engaged in all areas of God’s work (‘Jerusalem’, ‘Judea’, ‘Samaria’ and the Ends of the Earth [Acts 1:8]). This may be through active, practical involvement (sending or going) or through awareness, prayer and/or financial support.
