Leadership Team

We believe in God-given leadership. We recognise that God has always provided his people, the church, with those amongst them who are anointed with the gift of leadership. It is one gift amongst many, but it is an essential one for a healthy, growing and purpose driven community. We view the gift of leadership primarily as a serving role and one which helps others to become all that God has created them to be.

Leadership is a privilege and we encourage many people to pick up leadership roles and responsibilities in the life of the church.

We have a core leadership team of men and women who provide oversight and then we have a wider leadership team made up of cell associates, cell leaders and team leaders. We have around 20 different teams in Open Heaven and each team leader is supported by the core leadership team.

Ness Wilson is the team leader of Open Heaven. She also speaks at other Churches, and various events and conferences, such as Spring Harvest & Soul Survivor. She is married to Rich and they have 2 little girls called Amelie and Lauren. Ness is currently on maternity leave and has passed Team Leader role over to Jez.

Rich Wilson is married to Ness and enjoys shared parenting of Amelie and Lauren and works for Fusion, a national student movement that works with churches advising on student ministry.

Jez Cromie is married to Sarah and they live in a community house in Loughborough. He works 3 days a week for Open Heaven currently serving as Team Leader. He works 2 days a week as a School Sport Co-ordinator and he's also is involved in leading Genesis F.C., a local Christian based football team.
