Jesus was the sort of guy who did the things which don’t feel comfortable. He befriended the leapers, dined with the prostitutes and washed people’s feet??? What’s that all about? Well, I reckon it was all because of love. The Open Heaven society is part of the Loughborough Students Union and is designed to be a group of passionate Christian students who are up for seeing the love of Jesus spread proudly around campus and to see salvation happen. The revival in Loughborough starts with a willingness to wear our faith on our sleeve and to love uncontrollably the way our Dad in heaven loves each one of us. To find the broken hearted, the lost and the hurting, and to seek out those people who are searching for fulfilment. To graciously enable our student mates to encounter a little bit of heaven.

Well what does this mean? Good question – were strongly linked to Open Heaven in our actions and values and we believe in three core principles: To serve the university through: PRAYER, CAMPAIGNING AND PRACTICAL ACTION! To prayer walk, to fight for justice issues and to show love through events such as nerve – handing out 1000 free bottles of water to clubbers after a mad night at hey ewe/FND.

So please sign up on the Students Union Societies webpage, we do all sorts of things and can't wait for the fame and renown of JESUS to spread uncontrollably in our Uni through this society – come on!!!
