Information
We understand that coming to the Weekend Away is an investment for individuals and families. The Weekend Away is a chance to invest in your faith and your family’s relationship with God and the church. It’s an opportunity to share stories, be inspired by grace, and find joy in community. Many Open Heaveners have said that the Weekend Away was the first time they felt they belonged. Whether you’re new or returning to church, we want this to be your experience. Due to the rise in the cost of living, we’re introducing multiple payment schemes to help you manage the ticket cost for the first time. These include paying in one, two, or five instalments.
FAQ’s
Q: “I can’t afford the ticket cost. What are my options?”
A: We want each church member to be able to participate in the weekend. This year, we’re creating opportunities for those who can afford to donate towards the ticket cost of someone who can’t. We don’t want finance to be a barrier to attending if you cannot afford the ticket cost. We also offer discounted tickets for students and unwaged individuals. Please get in touch for more information and to book.
Q: "Can I get a refund if I'm unwell and unable to attend?"
A: Yes, we'd be able to offer a full refund, or we could gift the ticket to someone else who may be able to attend at late notice. In such a situation, you'll need to get in touch.
Q: "What provision will there be for children?"
A: During each main session, the children will join Powerhouse and break out into age groups. Creche facilities will be available during all main sessions. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Q: "If I have young children, will I miss the evening sessions?"
A: Not in full, no. Once we know who's coming, we'll organise a rota between parents to 'monitor' sleeping children so that we will need only one person for that at a time.
Q: “I’m unable to attend for the full weekend. Are there day tickets available?”
A: Day tickets are released depending on the capacity of the venue after weekend tickets have closed. Please contact us if you’re considering buying day tickets for financial reasons. Our value is on journeying together as a community. We want to encourage everyone to attend the weekend.
Q: “I’m unable to attend in person, will there be an opportunity to join online?”
A: Unless you’re viewing online for health reasons, we would love for you to join us in person. We’ll be streaming our main teaching sessions so you can join live online. We’ll send information about how to get involved and our full schedule closer to the event.
