Senior Leadership Team
Ness is responsible for providing primary leadership, teaching and direction to fulfil our vision and values. She is also the Pioneer Network UK Leader, Pioneer's Champion for Women in Leadership, is on the Wildfires Festival Core Team and sits on the Evangelical Alliance Council.
OH2 Leader and Small Groups Lead
Rich leads OH2, the Sunday morning expression of Open Heaven where generations meet together. He is also responsible for Small Groups in Open Heaven. He loves building community and seeing people connected to Jesus. He feels most alive when having outdoor adventures.
OH1 Leader and Community Engagement and Interns Lead
Joe leads OH1 with Stacey, develops projects and resources for the community, such as our Safehaven Cafe, and heads up our Internship programme. He is on the Pioneer Network UK Core Team, co-leading RISE; a group for leaders in their 20s & 30s in Pioneer. He is currently chair of Charnwood Food Poverty Group and vice chair of Loughborough Churches Partnership.
Rich loves students and God’s church. He is movement leader of Fusion and has championed the role of local churches in student mission for over 25 years. His latest book ‘A Call Less Ordinary’ draws on much of his experience and contains a message for this generation for how they must respond to the call of God for themselves.
Luc is passionate about students knowing and growing in Jesus at uni. He loves meeting new people and sharing Jesus with those who don't yet know him. Luc leads the Student Team who are dedicated to disciple, serve, and pray for the students of Loughborough.
Prayer & Sozo Lead
Anita is passionate about God, people and communities. She loves local church, seeing people transformed by God and equipped to fulfill their potential and purpose wherever they do life. Prior to relocating from Wales, Anita had been in Senior Church Leadership for over a decade. Anita currently works for a National Christian Charity providing hope and restoration for people trapped in addiction and other life controlling problems.
Digital Engagement Lead
Nathaniel leads OH Online, the online expression of Open Heaven. He also contributes to how we use our social media channels, helping people to grow as disciples and connect into community via the online space. Nathaniel committed his life to Jesus in 2013 and has been part of the Open Heaven community ever since. He loves playing for his local cricket and football teams, and also works part time for ChurchSuite.
Marg is helping us with our HR policies and practice. She is married to John and loves spending time with her grandchildren, cycling with John on their tandem and holidaying in their motorhome.
PA to Ness Wilson
Lizzie has worked for Open Heaven for a number of years doing various roles and has a passion for building church and seeing others become all God has created them to be.
OH2 Gathering Coordinator
Simon produces our Sunday morning live streams, and works alongside our serving teams to deliver content each week.
Like many churches, we have gone online since March 2020 and as lockdown lifts, we know online is here to stay. Josh works to grow Open Heaven’s online presence and resource our expressions with live streaming. He also oversees all technical aspects of filming and live streaming other events and conferences outside of Sundays.
Andrew leads our children's and families work within OH2. He is passionate about children discovering their true identity in Jesus and supporting families in nurturing them to become life long disciples. He loves the outdoors, even when its raining and is a budding bird watcher.
Izzy brings her operational experience from charities across the last 15 years to enable the church to run well and thrive operationally. She leads on various areas including Finance and Safeguarding and is passionate about culture and the team being fully supported. Born in Loughborough, she loves seeing the churches working together to serve the local community.
Families and Safeguarding Coordinator
Jess has a passion for helping others and enjoys hearing from God through creative means and tries her hand at all things crafty. She is an avid baker and cake decorator and loves all things cake related.
Communications and Media Manager
David has lived in Loughborough for over 10 years, and when he is not working for church he is busy running an art gallery in the town centre.
Youth Work Leader
Michael is passionate about helping young people realise their identity is in Christ and see them walk in the freedom of being defined by how God sees them rather than what culture tells them. Through weekly events such as their Tuesday Night Youth Gatherings and Sunday Night Sofa Sessions, Michael and the team helps create and facilitate fun and engaging spaces where the Youth can be authentically themselves, enjoy community and develop a personal relationship with God.
